The Jets were left for dead by first-year coach Rex Ryan and now they have secured the fifth seed to face the Bengals yet again in a wild card live sports game Saturday in Cincinnati at 4:30 pm. Booed off the field after losing their previous home game, Dec. 20 to the Falcons, the Jets, along with Ryan and owner Woody Johnson, took a victory lap before the clock struck midnight.

They were feted by the bone-chilled fans who witnessed the Jets' most lopsided regular-season shutout win in their 26-year history at the stadium. It was a surreal end to a wild regular season.
"We had a mission with our team," Ryan said. "We said it was impossible. Then it went to improbable and back to impossible.
