One month ago Tiger Woods was a clean-cut, untouchable king of the brands. Now his image has completely changed. It's unbelievable how far this scandal has gone, from a seemingly innocuous car accident to the world's best-paid sportsman giving up what he does best - play golf. Yes, an apologetic Tiger Woods announced on his website that he is in fact taking a 'hiatus from golf'.

On Tigerwoods.com, the sports news the superstar asked for understanding and said he decided to take an 'indefinite break' and will not play in the Ryder Cup. This is sad news for many golf fans, who wanted to see Tiger play at the tournament.

In a statement on his personal website, Woods, 33, said that he was profoundly sorry for the disappointment and hurt that he had caused his family. "It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done but I want to do my best to try," he said.
Tiger Trapped in a Hole
It's certainly gonna be an unhappy Christmas for Tiger Woods. Tiger has taken the blame and says he wants to be a better father and husband. There is even talk of him relocating to Sweden to escape the media glare.

The father of two continued: "After much soul-searching, I have decided to take an indefinite break from professional golf."

The news unleashed a media firestorm and led to a deluge of reports that the golfer had numerous affairs with young women.

Among the 13 women to have emerged with claims of extramarital affairs with the sportsman were Jaimee Grubbs, 24, a Las Vegas cocktail waitress, Jamie Jungers, 26, a lingerie model, Mindy Lawton, 33, an Orlando pancake waitress, and Holly Sampson, 36, a porn actress.

Fizzy drink company Gatorade was the first to announce it is dropping Tiger Woods. They said the decision was made "months ago". Gillette, which goes by the slogan "The Best a Man Can Get", have now distanced themselves from Tiger Woods as he takes his break from golf. The company said it was to 'support his desire for privacy', and now cell phone network operator AT&T are 'evaluating' their relationship with Tiger.

When it comes to the media, Tiger is now getting 'the worst a man can get'.
