Federer Reflects in Oz
Federer Reflects in Oz
     Written by Mike Stone|Tuesday, 09 February 2010 07:41

According to online sources, Tennis ace Roger Federer has said that he is pleased with the consistency with which he clinched the 4th Australian Open and said that the men's singles final against Andy Murray was one of the finest sports games in his career. "I thought it was some of my best tennis, it's always hard to judge if it was your finest performance [because] it also depends who you play," he told reporters during a photo shoot near the Melbourne's Yarra river."I thought yesterday was a very tactical match, always against [Andy] Murray it's very interesting because I think he neutralizes his opponents so for me to be able to play aggressive, controlled aggression really, I thought I did a great job."

Triumphant Federer

"It's always the ultimate achievement for a player to win matches and win tournaments so for me it's the same thing and it's very rewarding," he said. "As we could see yesterday again I played fantastic and I had a lot of fun, also celebrating later on with the team and of course I'm delighted to have started the year again so well."

After becoming a father, it is Federer's first grand slam victory and he rightfully celebrated his victory with family, friends and two twin 7 month old daughters Myla and Charlene. Federer has so far won 16 grand-slams and has refused to put a number on the number of grand-slams he aims to win before retirement.

The news is that Norman Brookes Challenge cup is also going to be played soon.
