The 30 year old Mark Tiexiera hit three home runs to become next only to Iron Horse Lou Gehrig to do so against the Red Sox. He led a stupendous drill at the Fenway park and so was the last home run against the   Outfielder Jonathan Van Every notable to say the least. Though he was swinging the bat better since many days, this is the time it really turned around for him. It was a great day for this guy as even as Yankee players went down one after the other due to injuries, Teixiera kept the torch high and burning by playing perfectly. Its been a path-breaking feat by him as he reached .400 (12 for 30) with 11 RBI's and 3 homers this month.
