A one-man-band, this blog is a bit ugly to the eye and doesn't do the great Chicago Bears team any justice at all. No action shots, no snazzy design, nothing worth seeing here on this sports blog.It looks messy and more like a sports blog directory.

This Bears fan is named Roy Taylor, a Chicago Bears fan of 29 years. In 2000, he created the website www.BearsHistory.com. In 2004, he wrote the book Chicago Bears History, that's about all we know of Roy.

We think someone should tell Roy about Facebook, Twitter, RSS feeds and all the other social networks available for bloggers because he doesn't integrate any of them into his site.

Size isn't everything, but it counts right? Here we looked at the length of the posts.

Also, some of his posts are a bit on the short and on the pointless side. We guess after nearly 10 years of this stuff, Roy's getting tired. Better to go to SB Nation.

How many stats are on this site? We graded quality, detail and scope of stats, historical league info and facts.

One thing Roy does have a lot of is stats! This is a real Chicago Bears nerds' site with links to his other (better) site Chicago Bears History.

Ok, how fun is this site? Are there games on offer? Does it do stupid things to photos? Run stupid competitions? We gave extra points for craziness..

As you would expect there's no fun and games to be had on this site at all. But he does have a section in his archive to Real Media Goofs. But even that leads to a very boring blog post.

Why is it different to other blogs? We graded originality and innovation..

As fan blogs go, this is not so original. He needs to give this sports blog a new lease of life, give it a redesign or a new 'lick of paint', to be better sports index.

Roy posts a new sports blog post every few days, he's not so prolific. In fact the title 'Chicago Bears Daily Blog' is no longer relevant or true.
