First of all, the design of the sports blog needs to be improved and updated. The Home Page is just a dull page of text showing the titles of the latest stories or posts. It uses a grey background and in the corner there's a shot of a horse racer. But that'a about as interesting as this site gets…

One thing you can say about Howard's site is that it is easy to navigate. All of his posts are logically in chronological order and you can search the archive by sport.

Howard and his team of bloggers offer plenty of lengthy posts and news stories. The subject matter is an interesting slant on sports – from a purely business prospective. That is, they are more interested in the MLB attendance reports, the tickets sold, who is funding the next Olympics, rather than who won the game last night.

How many stats are on this site? We graded quality, detail and scope of stats, historical league info and facts.
There's stats and facts in moderation here. Although, there isn't a section dedicated to stats on its own. It needs expanding if it's to be serious business in the world of sports blogs.

In terms of content, this is quite original as it offers a purely non-partisan business look at sports, but in terms of design, technology and communications, this is not innovative at all..

This site is updated daily with about three or four posts/news stories. So it does well in keeping up with the times.

What else can I do here? We gave extra points to sites with RSS feeds, video, HD, mobile and audio.

Unfortunately, there's no TV, video or many photos used on the sports blog. It really needs more images. But Howard does offer a podcast, so he gains some points back here.
