However, apart from the DailyRadar toolbar which directs you to dedicated sites for the most popular sports, the headlines take you back to their original source. Scores points for ensuring reliability but its very annoying when you want to browse lots of stories from bloggers.

BallHype works more as a conduit for all the other sports writers and bloggers out there, taking its stories from individual bloggers and big news agencies. By keeping each story on BallHype as a link to its original source means that you are always sure where the story has come from and who is writing it.

You can follow the action on BallHype through facebook and Twitter, and if you are a blogger yourself it is well worth joining BallHype and trading off their cache.

This is one ambitious blog site, with news feeding in from around the world, from the tiny minnows in the sports blogs world, to the big hitting national newspapers. In terms of its popularity, results are mixed. Though there are shockingly only 10 fans for its facebook page, it fares better on Twitter, with just under 1500 followers.

No points for craziness as aside from the sheer number of stories, there is nothing that extraordinary about BallHype. Members can vote stories up or down, and anyone can comment on them, but there are no other interaction options worth mentioning.

BallHype doesn't have any distinguishing features, and its size means that it can lack personality. That said, it does cover more of the sports field than most other sites, and it gets top marks for the rate at which it is updated.
