As the name suggests, the MLB Daily Dish sports blog only covers baseball, but there are plenty of other SB Nation blogs for the other major sports. The Daily Dish looks a bit too clinical and could do with some more images and multimedia. That said, the photos they do have include some great shots.

There is no danger of the Daily Dish being over-designed, so finding your way around the site is really straight-forward. With a well organized archive and simple homepage, it is easy to home in on what's really of interest to you.

The Daily Dish has 4 bloggers, though aside from their photos and a list of the fave teams, you won't find any more info about them. We would be especially interested to check out the DOB of manager Eli Greenspan, who looks surprisingly young!

The length of the posts really vary in length from the thoroughly comprehensive to the decidedly brief. However, when it comes to the big stories, they don't skimp on the detail, so the occasional skanty story can be forgiven.

How many stats are on this site? We graded quality, detail and scope of stats, historical league info and facts.
The nerd factor looked promising, with every article full of links to blog profiles of players and teams, but when we tested them out, none of them worked! However, there are up-to-date league tables on the homepage, so they redeem themselves slightly.

Ok, how fun is this site? Are there games on offer? Does it do stupid things to photos? Run stupid competitions? We gave extra points for craziness..
Considering this site is run by a group of (very) young looking guys, the lack of fun factor is pretty disappointing. Though their blog posts are fully researched and well written, they could do with lightening up a bit.

The best feature of the Daily Dish is the combination of regular posts by dedicated bloggers, and the opportunity for regular fans to not just comment, but add links, pics and quotes on the FanShots section of the site.

Is this site up-to-date? Number of updated, relevant and quality news stories.
Top marks for the updates on the site, there are several new blog posts every day, not including any action from the fans themselves. There is always something new to read, and the stories themselves are relevant and interesting reading.

What else can I do here? We gave extra points to sites with RSS feeds, video, HD, mobile and audio.

Even though the site looks pretty boring, once you delve into the FanShots section there are some candid pics and videos taken by fans of their favorite players caught off-guard. This, plus the RSS feeds are about as interactive as the Daily Dish gets.
