The Darth Raider fanzine might not have the most state-of-the-art design, but it is original, good fun and isn't too shabby considering that it's a solo enterprise.

There aren't too many pages to contend with, and the menu is one of the first things that you see when you reach the homepage. With pages easily accessible, you can spend your time actually reading the posts, rather than just trying to find them.

There is only an email for the Darth Raider himself, but he does take the time to reply and at least you know you are getting a personal response!

The Darth Raider isn't known for his social skills, so it's no surprise that this Raider doesn't have any facebook or Twitter options. However, he is a one-man-band so we forgive him.

The Darth Raider is nothing if he's not passionate; his mission statement on the homepage and his reasons for supporting the Raiders are those of a die-hard fan. And as for his blog posts...inspired!

There aren't many hard-core stats on the site, but the 2008 Review is impressive, with a detailed breakdown of every game played, and final scores. You can also get the necessities like roster and schedule from the Darth Raider.

Ok, how fun is this site? Are there games on offer? Does it do stupid things to photos? Run stupid competitions? We gave extra points for craziness.

This is definitely one of the more fun fanzines, with the enigmatic Darth Raider at the center of the action. His sense of humor doesn't mean you can't take him seriously, and even though his blogs are lighthearted and opinionated, his opinion is worth hearing.

Darth Raider doesn't have the flashiest site, you could even consider the design pretty basic. But what is fresh and original is the Darth Raider himself, so marks go to being honest and real.

Is the news up-to-date? We calculated the number of updated, relevant and quality news stories from fans perspective..

The blog section could do with some more regular updates, but reviews are added promptly after the game, and include a fan's review, plus the official game sheet from the NFL.No information about any other American sport.

What else can I do here? We gave extra points to sites with RSS feeds, video, HD, mobile and audio.

Aside from the animated Darth Raider on the homepage, there is a disappointing lack of multimedia options on the site. You can find the occasional video but the Darth Raider could do better on this front and can also work more on other American sports online.
