Girls Talk Sports is a fabulous website, with minimalist design and very easy to browse. It's nothing too amazing in terms of the site's design – but it feels just right. No wonder this site is up for sale.

Women tend not to be as nerdy as men, so unsurprisingly, there aren't pages of facts and figures here. There are facts and stats in news stories but no league tables, etc

The news stories here are really impressive – this site is really up-to-date on almost all lines of major sports from F1 to NBA. Each day there's a few new stories about american sports.

There's no video, audio or streaming here. This site has nice pictures and well-written copy. Good old-fashioned reporting, not gimmicks.

This site has been going since 1999, so it's really the first and best site dedicated for female sports fans who can get infomation about American sports online. In many ways it's really innovative and the different ways of looking at sports usually covered by men is refreshing. No wonder the site enjoyed 270,000 unique visitors in 2008.
