This sports shop has a pretty no-frills approach to design, with a basic homepage focused on the latest deal. However the unimaginative design does mean that searching the site is a lot easier.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded.

Searching the site is undoubtedly easy, and products are divided by equipment type into sub-categories. However, with so many other sites offering more sophisticated and precise ways to search and order products, WCGO could to better.

Only catering for one sport means that a site can (theoretically) invest more in that sport and we cant afford to invest much in such online sports site. WCGO is a fairly good example of this, with a decent selection of brands on offer. However, they could certainly improve on their selection, especially in the apparel department which is pretty poor.

In general orders are shipped with UPS ground transportation, which means you can expect delivery in 3 to 7 days. Though you can choose a more expedient 3-day delivery, they don’t offer next day services like many other sites.

This sports store online has got good image quality , but they let themselves down by limiting shots to just one, and by the enlarged image being hardly enlarged at all.

Are there deals here? We graded the extra value you can get for your buck.

The WCGO Closeout section is disappointing to say the least. With only a handful or products on offer, half of which are sold out, and no details of what the price was pre-reduction, you will be hard pushed to get a bargain here.

The problem with WCGO is that it is just average. They don’t do anything really wrong, but they are pretty boring and unimaginative with their design and approach to online shopping. If they started thinking outside the box a bit more, they might score higher in this department.

Definitely do some price comparison before buying, because we found a lot of the same products cheaper elsewhere. WCGO are not extortionists by any stretch, but can’t be relied on to provide the best value for money.
