The Adidas online store is one of the only sports gear to successfully centre their design around their product. Every page, though professional and stylish, has the product at the heart, making shopping here an easy and enjoyable experience.

How easy is it to navigate around the site? We tried and tested it out and graded.

Navigation is made incredibly easy by the fact that there are no distracting design elements, or animations. There are menus and lists of items everywhere you turn, allowing you to search by any criteria you like.

Obviously the Adidas store only stocks Adidas products, but they do have their Adidas Originals line, which is a more street-ware, vintage sub-brand. They have tried to jump on the Nike bandwagon with a customizable line of shoes, called mi adidas, but they don’t deliver this quite so successfully.

Adidas really do deliver on their shipping options, with flat rates whatever the size or destination of your order. With prices as cheap as $5 and next day delivery at only $25, it is really worth your while to shop online. They deliver to every US state, plus PO boxes with no extra charge.

Can you contact the site with queries? This grades the email support and telephone contacts available to users.

The support on the site is a little confusing, as they try to answer the most FAQ’s on site. If you don’t want to trawl through all the irrelevancies, you can email the customer service team, but you can wait up to 2 days for a reply. On the plus side, the returns policy is simple and transparent, though like many other sites, they won’t refund original shipping costs.

Off the back of their product-geared design, the Adidas site showcases the items excellently, with several views of each and a sophisticated zoom function. Even when zoomed in to the max, the quality of the image remains very good.

The sports shop Adidas has plenty of reduced products, with the latest deals highlighted on the homepage. Prices are apparently reduced by up to 50%, but the average is probably more like 30% off.

Although their customizable mi adidas shoes are cool, the service is not available online and the range is limited. So, unique selling points for now go to the site’s transparency; Adidas probably showcases its products most successfully, with images and info well presented, with the customer in mind.

Is this shop going to cost the earth? Do they offer reasonable prices in comparison to other online sports shops?.

Definitely one for the label junkies, Adidas might even be more expensive than Nike. You can certainly find cheaper competing brands, and cheaper Adidas products in independent online stores, but sometimes it is worth paying a few dollars more for the security of shopping on the official site.
