Stubhub certainly isn't the smartest site around, in fact it looks pretty uninspiring. But what it lacks in appearance, it makes up for in content. This is one comprehensive ticket provider, and events are clearly organized and categorized.

The best thing about Stubhub is the way in which it organizes its wealth of tickets on offer. Searches can be narrowed down by specific sport, date or location, and when we say location we mean by state, town and even venue.

What events are being covered? Variety of sports events you can buy tickets for on the site. If the site is especially for sports, not music, even better..

Although Stubhub sells concert, theater and 'exclusive' tickets (TV shows and those one-off jobs), there is definitely a huge emphasis on the sports tickets. Think of any sport and you can probably get a ticket from Stubhub; there is even a whole section turned over to college sports, and those lesser known competitions like eating contests!

How detailed is the event description info? Quality, detail and scope of text..

The level of detail on each event is pretty impressive when you consider the quantity of sports index covered, and the sheer obscurity of some of these sports! Summaries of the action, where it's taking place and the event's history are all available for the World Series games to the Mr Olympia Body Building Championship.

The thing to remember with Stubhub is that it is a market place, where sellers set the price of the tickets. Though you don't bid for tickets, Stubhub is owned by eBay so it runs under some of the same principles. That means that you could get really lucky if you catch someone desperate for the cash and wanting to get rid, but tread carefully and always check the official going-rate before buying.

Stubhub is a great place to come if you are uninspired for a bday present, as you can search by location or date, rather than just by an event itself.

Event info is kept updated, because we all know those stars and their tempers, but the best feature is the calendar on the homepage which lists the upcoming national events for the next few days so you can grab a last-minute bargain.

In terms of a ticket market place, where you can buy tickets 'second hand' or sell on your own, Stubhub is undoubtedly the biggest on the net. The huge number of members accounts for the range of events available and if you are looking to sell sports tickets this is where you will find the biggest market. On the flip side, with so many users, tickets sell out really fast for the most popular events.
